PETERBORO MUSEUM

Peterboro is extremely proud to launch the Peterboro Museum line. These 100% Cotton boards are of the finest quality as they maintain the purest form of natural cellulose, require little processing and maintain a history of performance. Accordingly, every board of this premium line adheres to both FACTS and the Fine Art Trade Guild's stringent specifications for Museum (100% cotton) Matboards.

A 100% cotton matboard provides the comfort and assurance that matted artwork will be preserved for future generations and is the top choice of framers, museums, and conservators for the mounting, matting, and preservation of fine art and documents. Peterboro Museum allows framers to uphold the cotton tradition to its fullest protecting artwork for years to come.

Peterboro Museum comes in a variety of traditional neutral colours in standard 32 x 40 and 40 x 60 sizes and 1,2,4 and 8 ply thicknesses. To support this launch we have a separate Peterboro Museum specifier and corner sample set (Part No. CS-MB-0207). These items are available through your local Peterboro distributor. You will be pleased to note that each corner sample is individually adorned with the traditional Cotton Trademark as a testament to its quality.

DOUBLE-THICK MATBOARDS

Double-thick matboards have become a popular design trend in the framing industry, and Peterboro is proud to now offer this alternative. The deep bevel of a double-thick board reveals an extra thick core and lends the dramatic effect of depth to framed art. Peterboro now offers you double-thick mats in 32 x 40 & 40 x 60 in the most popular whitecore and conservation colours.A separate corner sample set is now available ( part No. CS-NC/DT-0307) These double thick boards will be a great addition to your design possibilities.


NEW CONSERVATION COLOURS

Peterboro has added two great new colours to our ever-expanding line of conservation matboards. The Soft White and Tan have been added to the conservation range of colours and help round out Peterboro's growing colour pallet. Please see our online colour selector that allows you to sort and search by colour family. It is the first fully interactive colour chart in the matboard industry.


NEW 40 x 60 WHITECORE COLOURS

With the growth of the Whitecore market we have expanded our range of 40 x 60 colours to include more of our best selling 32 x40 colours in 40 x 60. These are Snow, Sparkling White, White and Teakwood.

SPRING 2007 SPECIFIER

To accompany Peterboro's exciting new products, we will be launching a brand new specifier. This comprehensive catalog not only acts as a valuable matboard colour selection guide but also provides insight into Peterboro, the company and our matboard philosophy. This vibrant new resource contains large surface paper chips for easy colour referencing and an Alphabetical and Numerical product listing, making it easy to find the specifier colour chip location. In addition to all of our previous products, the 2007 Specifier will incorporate all of our exciting new colours, our fresh double-thick products and of course the new Peterboro Museum (100% cotton ) line.


APRONS

Peterboro framing aprons are now available to all of our distributors. These handy Peterboro blue aprons are embroidered with the Peterboro logo, have 3 pockets, and are fully adjustable. Please contact your local distributor to receive one.





DOOR DECALS & POINT OF PURCHASE SIGNS

Peterboro now has available a selection of point-of-purchase display items that will let framing customers know that quality, value and design are important aspects of any good framing job. Starting this spring, window decals and sharp acrylic wall signs will be made available to framers through their distributor, free of charge.

 

The Specifier is a colour chip reference for Conservation, White Core, Black Core and Suede Matboards.

LABELS FOR FRAMED ART : PETERBORO MUSEUM & PETERBORO CONSERVATION

Peterboro continues to work together with distributors and framers to educate the public on the facts and standards surrounding the picture framing industry. We now have available, labels to be applied to the back of a framed piece outlining the type of matboards and the level of protection used in the framing. Both Peterboro Conservation and Peterboro Museum labels are now available. Call your local Peterboro distributor for a batch today.

The Art and Framing Industry Awards, hosted by the Fine Art Trade Guild, are the industry's premier awards and Peterboro Matboards is a proud supporter of this event. Each year the FATG brings together all sectors of the framing community - businesses large and small - in a celebration of art and framing's biggest successes and greatest achievements over a 12-month period. Peterboro sponsored the prestigious Set Piece Framing Competition. This year the awards dinner was held Saturday May 12th at the Shaw Theatre and Novotel Euston, in London, England.
